Meet Dr. Sam, one of our incredible instructors here at Align.
✨ How it started
Sam discovered Pilates in 2021 and started teaching last April. What she loves most is how it makes her feel — creating mobility, stability, and connecting beautifully with her background in PT.
✨ Her passion
Sam has a special interest in the pelvic floor. Pilates is all about breath and deep core activation, which tie directly to pelvic health. She helps clients understand how to engage these muscles functionally to support strength and prevent dysfunction.
✨ Beyond the studio
Sam earned her degree in Exercise Science from Rutgers and completed her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at the University of Miami with a focus on women’s health. She has completed clinical rotations in pelvic health, currently treats both orthopedic and pelvic floor conditions, and brings all of that expertise into her Pilates teaching.

Immigrated to NYC in 1926 with nothing but a vision. He came up with Contrology, what we now call Pilates.
